Manual sampling on the top of petrochemical storage tanks has long been accompanied by multiple safety hazards, such as falls from height, poisoning caused by volatilization of toxic media, and electrostatic ignition. The newly developed fully automatic variable-height sampling system for liquid storage tanks by Fushun Bright adopts an external tank driving plus non-electric mechanical transmission structure inside the tank. The equipment has obtained certification from the National Center for Quality Inspection and Testing of Coal Mine Explosion-proof Safety Products (Fushun China Coal Technology & Engineering Group Testing Center). With the explosion-proof mark Ex db ib Gb IIB T4, it can be directly used in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations with explosive gas atmospheres in petrochemical tank farms.

The equipment complies with the explosion-proof requirements of GB/T3836.1-2021 Explosive atmospheres — Part 1: Equipment — General requirements, GB/T3836.2-2021 Explosive atmospheres — Part 2: Equipment protected by flameproof enclosures "d", as well as GB13348-2009 Safety code for static electricity of liquid petroleum products. It adopts a composite explosion-proof structure with flameproof outer casing and intrinsically safe internal control circuits. All structures inside the tank are non-electrical mechanical components, eliminating the risk of electric sparks inside the tank at the hardware source.

Operators perform all operations at the tank bottom without climbing up to the tank top, avoiding the risks of working at height. The closed sampling process reduces leakage of volatile media, effectively protecting the personal safety of on-site operators and helping hazardous chemical storage tanks meet safety production management requirements.
